Juvéderm® products are hyaluronic acid based fillers developed using Hylacross technology, which gives them their signature fluid, workable texture. Juvéderm® Ultra XC products also contain lidocaine, a popular numbing agent, to make for a more comfortable injection experience.
Juvéderm® fillers can have results lasting up to a year with full treatments. However, touchups may be required to maintain volume depending on where the product was placed and the severity of the treated area.
The Juvéderm® line includes a range of products designed to target specific areas of the face, formulated based on the amount of volume that is required. Juvéderm® Volbella® XC targets the lip area to soften lines and add understated volume Juvéderm® Ultra XC also targets the lip area, and is designed to add noticeable volume and fullness Juvéderm® Voluma® XC is meant to target the cheek and midface to increase volume and definition Juvéderm®® XC targets wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, and is more subtle than Juvéderm® Vollure™ XC Juvéderm® Vollure™ XC targets moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles.
To make the treatment as comfortable as possible, Juvéderm® products are formulated with lidocaine. Additionally, your provider will likely apply light numbing cream to the area and use a small needle to ensure as painless of treatment as possible. Juvéderm® injections can take as little as 15 minutes, appointments can run longer depending on the number of areas treated. Results are typically seen immediately, however, swelling, bruising, tenderness may occur at the injection site and will usually subside within seven days.

The Restylane® family of fillers is composed of non-animal hyaluronic acid and is developed to mimic the hyaluronic acid that occurs naturally in the human body. Restylane® fillers vary in volume and texture in order to take on the natural look and feel of the treated area.
The duration of results may vary based on the treated area and the degree of correction. With full treatment, some results can last as long as 12-18 months, however maintenance appointments within 6-9 months are typically recommended.
Each of the Restylane® fillers is designed to provide natural, lasting results for specific areas of concern. Treatment time varies depending on the number of areas to be treated, but can be as short as 15 minutes. Numbing cream will typically be applied prior to injections in order to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. Restylane® filler is injected using a very fine needle or a micro-cannula to achieve your desired outcomes, and your provider may gently massage the area after the initial injection. After your treatment, results are visible immediately. For the first 1-2 weeks, it is normal to experience side effects such as swelling, bruising, redness, or tenderness at the injection site.
